Balsamic vinegar is widely used in cooking. The use of balsamic vinegar is characteristic primarily of Italian cuisine. It is added in homeopathic doses drop by drop to sauces, salad dressings and sprinkled on vegetables, fruits, desserts, cheeses, seafood or roasted meats. There are many recipes using balsamic vinegar, but it is never subjected to heat treatment.
